It's been 8 wonderful years - and I have no idea where the time went. As we were moving out of "The new store" it suddenly occured to me we have been in the Centre Street location for 6 years already! It is time for a change.
The Witchery started as a bookshelf in Al's second-hand furniture shop called Another Man's Treasure. Anyone still remember Al...
 
Well, often I got stuck watching his store while he went 'collecting' stock during the day... and I got bored... everything was dusty... and musty... so I grabbed a second-hand bookshelf and put out a few herb packs, a couple of demo decks of tarot and some books on Witchcraft, Pagans, and Dream interpretation and Voila! the store was born...
 
It was less than 2 weeks later when I expanded to 1/4 of the store space, and by the summertime, Another Man's Treasure was no longer in business... The Witchery had taken over, entirely! But the space was a renovated Garage... and the Witchery outgrew the building a year later.
 
In June of 2002 we incorporated, and we celebrated it by moving to the Centre Street location... it served us well, right down to the dog run for Boone and Tedi. The Centre Street building was the backdrop to alot of growth and happiness and many a ritual occured in the Liquor store parking lot! We made new friends, and old friends returned and alot of 'LIVING' occurred as well as alot of pain happened between these walls.
 
The rearrangement of the Centre Street store coinsided with Al's murder in March of 2007.  It was almost as if, in that moment, he let go of the store... and the energy in the store changed! The store had a nice feel to it already, but with this new Floor Plan the store was singing... sales improved, but the building was sold and the new owners are looking to renovate the space, so it was time to move again...
 
Here we are... in limbo... we have a new location on the horizon:
 
1112 4th Street SW... just off the Red Mile  - close to the C-train and still on the #3 Bus Route... but it won't be open until sometime in May.... so, bear with us as we step into tomorrow....
